Arseholes they are. Right and proper.
I found a new computer off ebay: the HP HDX 18 laptop. It only came with one hard drive, but can hold two. It takes a special drive candy to install the new hard drive.
Tried to order it from hpcanada, only to be told that the part doesn’t exist.
Did find it on the hp.com website and it costs US$100 ish.
But get this, you can’t buy it from HP.com from Canada, you have to through the HP’s Canadian store if you’re Canadian.
So I call the canadian people and they say they can’t order the part from USA.
So I have an HP computer in Canada, but the parts for it are in the USA and the USA won’t ship to Canada and the Canada company can’t order it.
Well obviously I complained and was told to get “a friend” in the USA to buy it and have them ship it to me. ?!?!? WTF ?!?! Ain’t HP meant to be a global company?
Well I went to the Best Buy store (where they sell the HDX X18 in Canada) and posted a derogatory email on their ‘Customer Review’ section. It basically said “don’t buy this computer because HP Canada can’t get any replacement parts for it.’
Guess what? Best Buy didn’t publish the warning. Wonder why.
Well that got me a call from an Account Manager from HP USA. I don’t know why an account manager, but hey at least they called me. He was ‘tasked to resolve your issue in the shortest possible timeframe.’ Huh? Does he mean he’s going to help me? Why can’t you speak English instead of Thesaurus.
I told I wasn’t interested. I just won’t buy HP anymore; and recommend to all my clients they Dell has better service. That went down well.
HP: A Global Company but only if you’re in USA.
Yep, HP can suck my dick.
